Edward Berounsky is a native Floridian. Born in Miami and a graduate of the University of Miami’s School of Architecture. He
is a successful design architect who has practiced his profession
in South Florida since the early 1970’s.
Under the tutelage of his father and grandfather, both life long master metal craftsmen in the aircraft industry, Edward learned at
an early age the skillful art of metal working, especially in the use
of aluminum.
Over the years, his work has evolved into a love affair working
with aluminum and other metals, creating from hand-cut rigid
shapes and plates, imaginative figural sculptures and other various interpretations, demonstrating his unique artistic talent that has become recognizably his own.
Artist Statement
My sculptures range from representational to abstract, all drawing from an emotional collaboration of my design expression and the nature of the material. It is my hope, to convey to the viewer that same emotional fulfillment as I had, in their creation.
